Seven Great Days
Enjoy a spa weekend in a single day at Gurney’s Inn in Montauk. Buy the day pass for access to the Sea Water Spa and stay for lunch at Sea Grille. If you have a chance, find a jar of Bees’ Needs artisanal honey on the way home.
Start the week with a workout at your local CrossFit box. These gyms are so gritty they lift kegs for sport. After you tackle the Workout Of the Day (WOD), your week may look a whole lot easier.
Take it easy today. Call a few friends for a potluck blind tasting party at home. Uncork some bottles and test your skills to find out what you and your friends really know about wine.
Double your pleasure with two art events in Huntington. First, visit 9 East Contemporary Art for their X Artists exhibit. Then stop by 841 East for “Live Art Fusion.” Enjoy live music while artists paint to the rhythm.
Stroll among powerful sculpture on the campus of Adelphi University in Garden City. The Outdoor Sculpture Biennial ends in June, so don’t miss it. Keep the good vibes going with a healthy dinner at nearby Seasons 52.
Beer and food. Go simple, leave satisfied. Try Kodiak’s Restaurant Bar in Farmingdale for a dizzying 48 drafts and more than 150 bottles, not to mention the burgers and big screens so you can watch the game.
Check out a 2pm matinee of Death of a Salesman at the Barrymore Theatre in NYC, then grab an early dinner at Rosa Mexicano. The night is young and the city is yours. Be adventurous and make it up as you go.
