April Cover Party
Jellyfish Restaurant, originally the grand Whitney Mansion, hosted Pulse’s April cover party. Attendees enjoyed a waterfront setting, signature cocktails, luxury raffles and an ambience set by Paul Brusger and his jazz ensemble in the wine cellar, which was once one of the most notorious speakeasies on the Island.

Nassau County Museum of Art members were given an exclusive preview of AB-EX / RE-CON: Abstract Expressionism Reconsidered, the most recent exhibition in Roslyn. Notable artists on display included Norman Bluhm, Fritz Bultman and Richard Diebenkorn. The works will be on display until June 16.

Duality
Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, a revered summer arts camp for youngsters in Wheatley Heights, recently held an opening in Manhattan featuring works from students in their college prep Portfolio Preparation Track program. The show was called Duality and featured paintings and mixed-media works depicting the balancing of good and evil forces.

Gold Coast Cares for St. Jude
Oheka Castle hosted the inaugural Gold Coast Cares for St. Jude charity for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Over 300 attended and $285,000 was raised, going to the fight against childhood cancer. The funds also enable kids to be treated for free at the medical center.

6th annual Winterfest Jazz on the Vine
A number of legendary local jazz musicians entertained crowds over six weeks during the 6th annual Winterfest Jazz on the Vine at nineteen East End vineyards and hotels. Winterfest was conceived as a cultural pick-me-up for the area during the cold offseason.
