Dr. Kimberly Williams is a pediatric neuropsychologist and clinical psychologist. She is an expert in the evaluation of children with academic and learning problems, psychological disorders such as anxiety, depression, difficult or oppositional behaviors and those with developmental delays and social deficits. She also provides assessments for individuals with neurologic concerns such as tic disorders, Tourette’s syndrome, epilepsy, traumatic brain injuries and conditions secondary to medical illness.

Her primary focus when working with patients is their comfort level. “Parents and children first need to feel at ease. I realize that many people contemplate the decision to meet with a psychologist, thus it’s important that they feel their concerns are being addressed by a caring individual advocating for their needs,” Dr. Williams says. As an experienced psychotherapist, she provides empirically based behavioral intervention strategies for children, teens, young adults, parents and families. She regularly consults and provides workshops and training in issues related to autism, Asperger’s disorder, nonverbal learning disability, special education and parent advocacy.

Patients love her availability and flexible hours, as Dr. Williams welcomes late evening and weekend appointments to work around children’s school schedules, extracurricular activities and working parents. She also has an office in downtown Brooklyn that accommodates parents who work in New York City. In July and August she also meets with families and conducts evaluations on the East End.

Dr. Williams has made appearances on Good Morning America, The Today Show, 20/20, The Big Idea and is regularly featured on Martha Stewart Radio.
