The Animal Rescue Fund of The Hamptons will host a preview cocktail party at the ARF Thrift and Treasure Shop in Sagaponack. The shop will be transformed into a stunning Designer Showhouse featuring 11 rooms designed by renowned interior decorators. Each stylish room will incorporate Thrift Shop items and pieces donated from the designers own collections. All furnishings will be for sale. Tickets: 5:00 PM Preview Hour $300; 6:00 PM General Admission $150. The showhouse will be open to the general public ($10 suggested donation, children free) on Sun., May 27th and Mon., May 28th. All purchases will stay in place until Tuesday, May 29th at which point they will be available for pick up. Now in its 6th year, Quogue Wildlife Refuge’s Annual Wild Night for Wildlife is a fantastical celebration of the wonder and beauty of nature and wildlife, and will be held this year on Saturday, July 21, 2012 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m., at the historic home of Nancy Mullan and John Demirjian in the Village of Quogue. Last year’s Gala was a tremendous success, and in fact, sold out! Tickets and sponsorships for the 2012 Benefit are currently available by calling the Refuge Nature Center at 631-653-4771.
Typically attended by more than 550 guests, A Wild Night for Wildlife has earned a reputation of being a fun and frivolous summer celebration. Festivities for 2012 will include live music performed by the Hackensack Men and the Trenton Horns; mouth-watering hors d’ouevres prepared by Buoy One and Dockers; wine provided by Wolffer Estate Vineyards and Martha Clara Vineyards, and live and silent auctions. Attendees will also have the unique opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the Refuge’s resident animals.
