The Cortland hosts First Friday Firkin with Spider Bite Beer Company on February 3 (6:00PM).

Todd Long, member of Long Island Beer & Malt Enthusiasts (LIBME), will tap a cask of Vanilla Coconut Porter.

Notes on Vanilla Coconut Porter, via Larry Goldstein, co-founder and brewmaster of Spider Bite Beer Company:

Starting with a 7.00% ABV porter with notes of chocolate, we let it sit on some toasted coconut and Madagascar vanilla beans. At cask-filling time, we tossed in a few more Madagascar beans and they’ll be floating around until tapping tonight. When I tasted it before casking it, it reminded me of Mounds.
