Greenport Harbor Brewing Company, a Greenport-based brewery founded by John Liegey and Richard Vandenburgh in 2009, celebrated its third anniversary on July 21 with #3, a smooth, Belgian-style witbier possessing a mouth of chamomile, perfume, and coriander.

The birthday, hosted at Greenport Harbor Brewing Company’s current facility at 234 Carpenter Street (the brewery secured a 13,000-square-foot building in Peconic for full-time operation in 2013), also included a sample tasting with mad ghost bottles of Brettanomyces-finished 2011 Anti-Freeze, and 225.18.1, a Belgian-style golden ale brewed with sauvignon blanc grapes from Martha Clara Vineyards.

The latter, an effervescent, pucker-dry bouquet of apple, grape, and vanilla, is a forthcoming bottle release.
